Several newspaper clippings about President Taft laid in, boards somewhat worn and soiled. Complete title: William Howard Taft: The Man of the Hour. His Biography and His Views on the Great Questions of To-Day. The Control of Railroads and Corporations; The National Currency; The Tariff; The Rights of Labor and Capital, etc., etc. With the Platform of the Republican Party, and a Sketch of the Nominee for Vice President. Including a chapter by Theodore Roosevelt, President of the United States. The book includes (on page 19) a photograph of Theodore Roosevelt, which is noted as his favorite photograph. The chapter by Theodore Roosevelt (pp.13-24) was an article he had written about Governor William H. Taft for The Outlook in August 1901, focusing on Taft's work as the head of the Commission which inaugurated civil rule in the Philippines.
