It is a critical analysis of the work of one of the best writers of 20th century America. Bound in brown cloth , black titles, clean, tight, solid. Pages quite clean and unmarked, except for minimal library markings - a stamp on the half-title page, top edge and sticker on the spine, tape residue from library jacket tape on endpapers. The front endpaper is missing. The dust jacket in not price-clipped, clean , with illustration of Faulkner by Paul Steinberg. Clear cover over jacket is lightly wrinkled. 214 pages with bibliography and index. 8.5 x 5.5 inches. Thomas Y. Crowell Company, New York, 1973.
