About This Item

Subterranean. First Edition. Hardcover. As New/As New. Subterranean Press: Burton, MI, 2002. As New Book in As New DJ, in protective mylar. Special limited edition (no. 323) signed by both authors on publisher’s tipped in sheet. Dustjacket illustration by Phil Parks. Cookbook by fictional and deceased poet Ashbless who disdained haute cuisine, and chose instead Miracle Whip and canned vegetables for his culinary masterworks. The recipes herein were collected by the authors from “correspondence, personal reminiscences and letters likely written to Dean Koontz.” James Beard once complimented Ashbless on his “El Frittato Grosso.” James Blaylock is known for his fantasy writings, and as one of the pioneers of the steampunk genre of science fiction. Other collaborations between Blaylock and Tim Powers include The Better Boy, and On Pirates.
