Young Des wants to capture the wild palomino horse known as Rocket to help become the stallion for the Twin Anchor Ranch. Black and white illustrations throughout. Des tries to capture the palomino stallion Rocket for use as the new sire on his father's Twin Anchor Palomino Ranch, but the Mexican El Gato has other plans for the horse. Several other people also want to capture the magnificent gold and silver stallion haunting the prairies with his band of mares. 151 deckled pp.
