First edition stated G-C, very good + blue cloth hardcover with orange letter and design shows bit of toning and soil at top and bottom edges of covers, bowing to covers, couple of tiny bubbles at bottom edge of rear cover, couple of blank pages at rear cut a little shorter than other pages and some other light trace wear, in very good dust jacket (price at flap) that shows exposure toning along spine that includes dulling to author name, soiling mainly noticeable at rear panel, along with edgewear that includes closed tearsand tiny open chips. 365 pages with illustrated endpapers and an attractive jacket painting by Stockton Mulford. Solid copy in jacket of this first edition copy of Grey's novel of wild horses in the canyon country of southern Utah.

When two brothers fall in love with two sisters what else can you expect but trouble? Add to that a wild stallion one of the brothers has to own--even if it means the risk of losing his sweetheart--you have the ingredients for this Zane Grey romance set in Utah. Chane Weymer loves horses, and when Toddy Nokin, a Piute Indian tells him of Panquitch who is running free on Wild Horse Mesa, Chane decides that he has to have this magnificent wild horse. Although not as great of a novel as "Wildfire" is, this is still a good read from the master story-teller of the West.
