The first edition of this photographic book on wild flowers by Lewis Clark in the original dust wrapper. The first edition. Illustrated profusely with vibrant full colour photographs by the author. In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. This work was written by Lewis J. Clark, a professor at the University of Victoria. Clark undertook many botanical studies and was an accomplished photographer, providing the photos for this work. This book provides a detailed study on wild flowers in the Pacific Northwest and was edited by John G. Trelawny after Clark's death. In the publisher's original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart with minor damp staining to the tail of the spine and minor fading to the extremities. 'Alpine Garden Society Library' bookplate to the front pastedown and a tidemark to the extremities of the free endpapers. The wrap is very smart with a library label to the tail of the spine, minor creasing and edge wear, slight marks and very small closed tears to the head of the spine. Internally firmly bound with clean and bright pages. Very Good Indeed
