Originally articles written for the newspapers, Synge rewrote them for this book; unfortunately, it was not published in his lifetime.This is a Very Good Plus to Near Fine copy of the First Edition. Olive green paper-covered boards and a parchment spine with gilt lettering. Clean text; 136 pages. Previous-owner bookplate on the front paste-down, and a delicate contemporary (dated 1913) gift notation on the FFEP. The delicate spine has a hint of darkening. Easily the best copy Quercus has seen; usually found with faded boards and/or damaged spine. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. First Edition.. Hard Cover. Very Good Plus/No Jacket.
