About This Item

Norwalk, Connecticut: Easton Press, 1990. [1990] Maroon Leather Binding, decorative gilt designs and lettering, 238 pages. SIGNED TWICE by Edward Albee: In the book and another on the Certificate of Authenticity. Four raised ridges (hubs) on spine; lettering, designs stamped with gorgeous accents of 22kt. gold -- a hallmark of fine bookmaking. This beautifully bound book was hand-selected from individually tanned hides. Textured and shaded, acid-neutral paper won't turn yellow over time. Pages are Smyth-sewn into binding for permanence (not glued like ordinary books). Edges gilded on three sides to enhance elegance of the book. Endpapers: Satin moiré. Satin ribbon page marker bound in. Condition: Fine, in gift-giving condition. Book purchased new as a collectible -- never read. Free of smelly old humidity stains and the smoke smell of a cigarette or cigar smoker. Stored in temperature-controlled bookcase. SOME COMPETITORS ONLINE SAY THEIR BOOKS ARE NEW OR FINE BUT HAVE BEEN READ. THIS BOOK IS DIRECT FROM THE PUBLISHER AND NEVER READ. This is a portrait of middle-class discontent that anticipated the social upheavals of the 1960s. It was attacked as a "sick play about sick people "and hailed as a masterpiece, marking the rebirth of serious theatre in America. It won the Tony Award. A powerful play - a collectible book in genuine leather. Note: We are a well-established, well-respected, ethical book dealer in business since 1991. We describe the condition of our books thoroughly and honestly, so you'll know exactly what you will receive when you order. We ship promptly. . Signed By Edward Albee. Leather Bound. Fine.

About R. Siedlecki Vintage Books

We are a well-established, well-respected dealer that is professional, honest, and ethical in our business dealings. We tend to describe each book in a reserved, conservative manner, rather than oversell a book or sidestep the responsibility of addressing its flaws. Book club editions and library books along with books without dustjackets (if they came with dustjackets) are pointed out in our descriptions. We describe our books in detail, pointing out the precise condition of each book based on our opinion. It's your assurance that the book we describe is as close as possible to the book you’ll receive. In business since 1991, we typically have five-star ratings on major web sites.
