The biographies are those of men and women who have distinguished themselves in their professions, in business, and by virtue of public land civic endeavor, in their own communities as well as statewide. Included are only those who were nominated for publication. Each published biography has been authorized by the individual. Biographies of deceased persons were requested prior to death and supplies by the family and consequently a limited number have been included. In addition there are concise stories of modern New Mexico, its counties and its more impoirtant cities. Abbreviations are used through-out and a four-page list is included for reference. Biographies are iintroduced with date and place of birth, names of children and spouse. At the endo f each biography a current (1957) address is given. Biographies are arranged alphabetically by last name opening Aberle, Sopohie and closing with Zwoyer, Eugene Milton.
