London: Hodder and Stoughton, 1971. First UK edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Fair. 5 3/4 x 8 3/4. 4H. Sewn binding in paper-covered boards, in dustjacket. Tight binding, strong intact hinges, and square spine. Book opening widely but sewn binding is firm. Erased pencil-marks corner front flyleaf, else no marks. Small stain on fore-edge. Copyright notice effaced with marker (apparently by publisher), showing through to title page. Faint mark from liquid stain on front cover. Price-clipped dustjacket badly stained and puckered; stain is mostly visible inside, but showing through at white and yellow title. Medium edge- and surface wear, but no chips or tears.
