On Jan 3 2024, a reader said:
Two boys dressed in 1930s fashion are centered on brown boards. A hat and scarf are worn by one. A pair of endpapers, in orange and white, feature a boy wearing a hat atop a tree, peering through binoculars at a cabin situated on a bluff across the street. Clean and brilliant pages and endpapers are present. dark topstain. Copyright Grosset & Dunlap, 1932. The copyright page makes no mention of any other prints. Plot synopsis: "A banker from Lakeside named Raymond Dalrymple arrives at the Hardy residence to ask Fenton Hardy for help after receiving death threats. With hesitation, he accepts Frank and Joe's offers of assistance. A car almost runs over the tough boys shortly afterward while they are out for a hike with their pals. In Purdy Place, they next look around. I have read it from shabd.in and kindle too.
