Berkeley: Bern Porter, (1944). First U.S. edition of Miller's second book which was originally published in Paris in 1935; includes the first appearance of his "Preface to the Third Edition." Written to raise money for long-time friend Alfred Perles. 3.5 x 5.25" plain, stapled paperwraps in pale yellow dust jacket printed in blue on front; text in blue throughout; 24 pages. Curse words blacked out, as generally seen. Outermost leaf detached from staple and with old tape repair along its fold. Otherwise, very good with some tanning along dust jacket fold.
