About This Item
First English Edition 1955 Clean 230 pp. NO writing in texts. One bookplate Ex-Libris presented Livingston Stebbins Library. (See our Scan of same) but NOT a library book per se. NO library pocket. NO numbers anywhere ,spine clean both hardcover and jacket. Two tone color illus. Joan Kiddell-Monroe plus B/w drawings. Dust Jacket has light chipping at head and tail but nicely Mylared. None could retell the stories of Medieval Welsh Myth and Mabinogi Arthurian Tales any better than Gwyn Jones. He with Thomas Jones brought his Powerful translation of the Mabinogion itself. He also founded The Welsh Review which J. R. R. Tolkien, a personel friend submitted his, "The Lay of Aotrou & Itroun" to. In this is a fine portrayal of Rhiannon and the Arthurian Dream of Rhonabwy presented in so wild and sensible way, for that pecularity is upon it. Slight stain on boards overall a very good handsome copy See all eight of our Three Geese in Flight Celtic Book Scans of this difficult book to find that is almost as hard to find as Olwen herself.
