The Herald and Weekly Times, Melbourne, 1983. First Edition. Softcover (Stiff Boards). Good/No Dust Jacket. Illustrator: William Ellis Green -- WEG. not paginated, introduction by author. The text is illustrated with black and white cartoons drawn by WEG over a 35 year period for the Melbourne newspaper The Herald. The book is sectioned into time periods, 1949 to 1953, 1954 to 1958, 1959 to 1963, 1964 to 1968, 1969 to 1973, 1974 to 1978 and 1979 to 1983. Each year section has a small description of the influences that caused WEG to draw his cartoons. Illustrated covers, by WEG, with white background and red and black titles to the front panel. Rubbing to the book corners and there is a bump to the front fore edge of the front panel. The white of the background has become a little grubby and dull. The remains of a sticker can be seen to the top left-hand corner of the rear book panel. 35 years of WEG cartoons. Size: Oblong 8vo - 7¾" - 9¾" tall but wider.
