A pre-Islamic poem of love and disaster, from the 6th-century Mu'Allaqat by Imru' al-Qays, translated by Wilfred Scawen Blunt and his wife Lady Anne in 1903, and here furnished with nine double-page illustrations by Henry Fuller in black, gold and blood-red, with 19 pages of calligraphic text printed in sanguine and embellished with numerous erotic initial letters. Finely printed and bound. Signed by the artist and designer.
