Fst. published in 1849, describing a two-week river trip taken in 1839 in a boat he built with his brother John. Book was intended as a tribute to his brother John. Contains Thoreau's thoughts on truth, poetry, silence, traveling, friendship, etc. Fair to Good condition. Brown endpapers cracked some at the hinges. Pages are not foxed.
