Gorgeous 1985 soft cover as new copy of Wee Gillis by Munro Leaf (story) and Lawson, Robert (drawings) which was A Caldecott Honor Book in1939. Leaf also created the Watchbirds. Remember? "This is a Watchbird. This is a Watchbird watching you.?" Leaf was the creator of Ferdinand for his friend, illustrator Robert Lawson, who won a Newbery Medal forRabbit Hill in 1945 and a Caldecott Medal in 1940 for They Were Strong and Good. He also did the artwork for a limited edition of The Crock of Gold in 1942.
