About This Item
N.p.: N.p., 1934. Vintage borderless matte-finish double-weight reference photograph from the 1934 film, showing a tender moment between actors Anna Sten and Fredric March. With the stamp of still photographer Kenneth Alexander on the verso.
Based on Leo Tolstoy's 1899 novel "Resurrection." A Russian prince seduces an innocent young servant, leading to her pregnancy and subsequent termination from her job, forcing her into a life of poverty and degradation. The second of three films produced by Samuel Goldwyn to star the then-unknown Sten, who Goldwyn believed would become the "new Garbo," a prediction which ultimately proved incorrect.
Set in Moscow.
7.5 x 9.5 inches. Very Good plus overall.
