Illustrated with sixty-four colour plates, eighty-seven black-and-white photographs, and over one hundred in-text images. Collated complete. An interesting and complete guide on British wildlife, pocket sized and thoroughly illustrated with charming coloured plates and black and white illustrations in text. With clear descriptions of over one hundred species. Written by Edward Step, a British author of popular nature books specialising in botany, zoology, and mycology. Illustrated by his daughter, Mabel Emily Step. In the original burgundy cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear only. Original unclipped dust wrapper is sound with light shelf wear resulting in minor loss to the extremities. Sunning to the spine and edges of the panels. A 1" closed tear to the rear joint and a small closed tear to the tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with light spotting to the endpapers. Very Good Indeed
