About This Item
New York: Ballantine Books, 1978. Hardcover. 8vo. Black cloth spine with gilt lettering and yellow paper over boards, pictorial dust jacket. 312pp. Fine/near fine. Handsome first edition of this memoir by the prolific, long-lived sci-fi master (1919-2013) -- with choice autograph addition: Tipped to blank leaf facing title page is a unique frontispiece, a fine small (3 3/4" X 4") color magazine photograph of Pohl. On the blank margin below an image of him in later years sitting before his computer, Pohl signs boldly but miniscule in black ballpoint.
