About This Item
New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1989. Uncorrected Proof. Original wraps. Very Good. 8 3/8 X 10 3/4 Inches. 491 PP. Incredibly scarce original "Uncorrected Proof" of the book that Julia believed was her magnum opus! Stated "First Edition" on the copyright page, although this is obviously prior to the actual release of the first edition.

Cover states "This is an Uncorrected Proof - It should not be quoted without comparison with the finished book." Publication information on front cover. Original sample of the one-sheet prospectus taped in. Spine and front cover do have clear tape reinforcement. Book looks to have been used a bit with wear to covers and edges.
