Original publisher's brown paper-covered boards, printed paper spine labels. London: Henry Colburn and Richard Bentley, 1830. 3 Vols. First English edition. BAL 3846. Preceded by a Dresden edition and preceding the first American edition of 1831. A historical novel of the Dutch colonists and buccaneers along the Raritan Bay, New Jersey, during the early part of the eighteenth century. Spines are darkened with some early repairs, labels browned, some scuffing and wear to boards, faint scattered foxing, else a very good set.
