About This Item
London: J.M. Dent & Sons, 1940. Later Printing . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. The interior of the book is crisp and clean, with no marks or signatures. The blue cloth covers are fresh, with mild wear visible at tips and corners. The silver gilt spine lettering is still shiny. The dust jacket is price-clipped, but is otherwise in excellent condition, with just a touch of edge wear, but no rips or chips. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. The attached scan should give a better idea of appearance. Synopsis: Set in the Scilly Isles in the late 18th century. "It tells of desperate men in search of hidden treasure: of smugglers, and more particularly of a rogue who met the death he deserved.
