Missing DJ, boards slightly edge worn, corners lightly bumped, original price (8/6) in pencil to front endpaper. ; New and revised edition, 1949. Green cloth boards with black lettering to spine. Nice tight copy, no names inside. ; B&W Photographs; 192 pages; Revised edition that was produced soon after the Second World War to boost egg production in the United Kingdom and also to incentivise returning soldiers to go into farming. This early work on poultry husbandry, originally produced in the 1920's, is a fascinating read for any poultry enthusiast, but also contains much information that is still useful and practical today. It will prove of much interest to the amateur poultry keeper as well as those in the field of agriculture. Illustrated with B&W photographs. .
