New York: Macmillan Company, 1916. First American Edition. Thick octavo (19.5cm.); original tan cloth, red paper labels printed in gilt mounted to upper cover and spine; viii,[2],455,[9](ads)pp. Spine label partially perished, apparently during the binding process, as the gilt lettering has been partly applied directly to spine cloth. All else Very good and sound. Collection of short works on the early years of World War I by Jewish British humorist, best known for his play The Melting Pot (1908).
