London: Unwin Hyman. 1990. First edition, first printing. First edition, first printing. Publisher's original dark green boards with gilt titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. Illustrated with a double page colour frontispiece and a further 19 illustrations and maps in black and white throughout the text. A near fine copy, with some bumping to the top of the spine, the cloth is fresh and the binding tight and square. The contents are clean throughout and free from inscriptions or stamps. Complete in the lightly rubbed dustwrapper, that is bumped to the spine ends, with a small lightly scratched area to the top left corner of the upper panel. Price-clipped to the lower front flap.
