A beautiful volume studying the conservatories of Kew Gardens, a lovely work with botanical engravings. A charming volume exploring the conservatories at the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, one of the most prominent Botanic Gardens in Britain. The gardens had been on the site for centuries in some manner, but was adopted as a national botanic garden in 1840 due to the efforts of William Cavendish, the son of Georgiana Cavendish.Illustrated with in-text engravings throughout.By Philip Henry Gosse.Undated, dated from Jisc from a copy held at Kew Gardens. In a quarter morocco binding with cloth to the boards. Externally, generally smart. Light light marks to the boards. A little rubbing to the leather and boards. Light bumping to the extremities. Endpapers have been excised. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with a few light spots. Very Good
