Early half calf and marbled boards, spine ends and edges rubbed, a little wear to top corners, frontispiece with image browned and offset to title, heraldic bookplate of [JOHN?] WODEHOUSE [1826-1902], KIMBERLY (sic), dated 1838 [somewhat puzzling as Wodehouse was created Earl of Kimberley in 1866), ex libris RICHARD FREEMAN, Darwin scholar and bibliographer, with his purchase notes at the front. *GARRISON-MORTON #2074 - 'Includes a detailed description of the paralysing effects of curare'.
