Walk the Dark Streets by Krasner, William - 1949

First edition first printing of this author's first novel and first novel in the Sam Birge series. Nominated for an Edgar award in 1950 for Best First Novel. Basis for the television adaptation for Studio One in Season 2 Episode 31 under the title Walk the Dark Streets. There is a 1/2 inch deep by 1/2 inch wide chunk missing from the top edge of the dustjacket's front panel at the outside corner. A 1/2 inch closed tear that has crease the immediate area around it on the top edge front panel. Someone has tape repaired the tear. The rear end page has a 1/4 inch stain with a pin prick sized hole in the middle. In very good / good condition.
