Very good green cloth hardcover shows pieces of jacket residue to top edge of rear cover and bottom edge of front cover, small sticker at top of front paste down, gift inscription at top of half title page, tiny character drawn at top of rear pastedown and some other mild shelf and trace wear, in a very good minus dust jacket that shows rubbing and soil, stainign to areas of fore edges, spine, and rear panel, alogn with edge wear that includes rubbing, closed tears and tiny open chipping. 399 pages with black & whites. Still a solid copy that will look good on the shelf of this "..perfect portrait of the master composer..
