[Sheffield, England]: [William & George Sissons, Walter & Charles Sissons], [ca. 1910]. Sml. 4to. [1], 27 leaves, original silver gelatin photos, some leaves containing 2 images (6 x 8 in.) mounted on white-linen hinges. Printed gray softcovers, yapp fore-edges, W.&G.S. Bell trademark on front cover, printed lettering, punch sewn at gutter margin in Japanese style, w/ green silk braid (minor edgewear, rubbing), VG copy. First edition of this very scarce sample photographic Edwardian catalogue for Sissons Company sterling silver ware, and silver plate. The images all have stock numbers below each, and include complete silver tea service sets, coffee pots, serving platters, serving dishes, roasters, chafing dishes, gravy boats, soup tureens, cut crystal decanters, silver punch bowls, and much more. William Sissons Jr., and George Sissons took over and expanded the firm of Smith Sissons & Co. in 1864 and continued to operate the silver firm in Sheffield until 1887 when Walter Sissons and Charles Sissons took over the firm and operated the business and London Showroom. The firm continued until 1943, when the silversmiths business was transferred to Bell Reproductions Ltd.
