About This Item
New York: G.P. Putnam's Sons, 1924. First Edition. Very good +/Fair. 4to. 184pp. Top page edge gilt. Mustard cloth over boards with ink title illustration. Original dust jacket with woodcut design matching cloth. Jacket with prominent sections of loss from spine, crudely tape mended to exterior and interior. Panels near fully intact. Cloth with trace exterior foxing. Internally clean, bright, unmarked. Binding sound. An about very good-plus copy in a fair only jacket which presents significantly better than its described condition would suggest.
A lovely first edition copy of Kent's lavishly woodcut-illustrated sailing memoir of his own journey around the tip of South America. Uncommon in jacket.
