Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1965. Softcover. Near Fine. First American edition, and first edition thus (first expanded edition), wrappered issue, published simultaneously in cloth issue and softbound issue. Octavo. Cream-colored wrappers. Very slightly rubbed at extremities of yapped edges, else a fine, bright copy. Advance Review Copy, issued with a special slip noting this as an "examination copy for your professional examination." Author's first book. This American edition contains 19 new poems not included in the English edition (London: J. M. Dent 1963). A very scarce publication with the publisher's review slip, the only ‘professional' educational review copy that we have examined of this title.
