Pp. xl+230(last colophon)+[2](advertisements), printed in red & black, 86 plates & charts (31 coloured, the black & white charts in reduced format), plus the 7 charts reproduced in full size contained in pocket at end, title page vignette and 4 text illustrations, errata, list of subscribers, appendix, historical, bibliographical, and production notes; demy folio; full burgundy leather over bevelled boards, the spine lettered in gilt with two raised bands, the upper board decorated in gilt (reproducing the Wedgwood Medallion vignette), the leather slightly marked; a.e.g.; ribbon marker; within fully lined matching burgundy cloth Solander box with black & white pictorial glazed paper roundel on the lid; Edition Renard, Melbourne, 2008. Special edition, being one of the first 25 copies, in the Solander box, with 31 extra bound plates, plus an extra suite of 49 unbound plates (31 coloured natural history subjects and 18 uncoloured views, portraits, etc.), suitable for framing..
