Small thin hardcover bound in ribbed dark brown cloth with blindstamped design on covers, gold lettering on spine; 33pp + 4 pages of ads at front., fourth edition, date of 1851 in roman numerals on title page. Cover has slight wear and missing about 1/8: of cover at top and bottom of spine; old bookseller stamp at base of title page, brief gift inscription (not by author) in neat old script on page following ads; note in pencil inside the front cover referring to the giftor (could be erased if you wish).
