About This Item
Nasionale Pers, Beperkt, 1946. 3rd Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Fair. 476 pages (complete). In Afrikaans throughout. Included: various press cuttings about the General. A sturdy copy of this memoir that reveals the experiences and thinking behind the Anglo-Boer war general and later unswerving stalwart of the Nationalist (apartheid) party. The dust-jacket has wear, tear, scuffing, rubbing, sunning. The spine has much wear, tear and discolouration from shelving and handling. The dj is still secure and sure. The rather bourgeois boards have knocks to some corners. They are otherwise neat, sound, healthy. The contents are agreeably fresh. Previous owner signature on the frontispage (Herman Rex of Pretoria) and a gift inscription to him on the front pastedown. They are clean, clear, confident, very assured, well maintained, dutiful. Please note that should the book need be posted to the outside of South Africa, extra postal charges may be required. fk. Our orders are shipped using tracked courier delivery services.
