Some Sizes were also sub-divided into 3 editions designated by 1, 2, or 3 stars on the front cover. Each of these Star Edition corresponded to a different area of the White Mountains with different views but also having a few in common. Bright Blue (Brilliant) Cloth, Gilt Titles with gilt decorations and rules. Good to Very Good overall, Spine and covers are worn with wear-through at corners and spine ends the text-block is loose being quite heavy for the thin spine to carry. Contents are VG to NF with NO writing, tears, dog-ears or other signs of human nonsense/damage. The plate images were printed on thicker, higher quality paper and have remained quite nice and contrasty. All edges gilt. A nice example, scarce in any condition.
