E T Metcalf, Market Place, Guisborough, 1900. First Edition. Hardcover. Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. Slim red landscape volume with ornate dulled gilt decoration on the front. Spine is flaking at both ends, long stitches of binding are on the outside of the spine and are a little loose, edges are rubbed. Title-page is darkened. Black and white double-sided collotype plates, three show people from which the date has been estimates. Plates show: Guisborough Abbey; The Market Cross; High Street; North Priority Gate; Chestnut Tree; Parish Church (exterior west door); Parish Church (interior looking east); Lonshull; Hutton Hall; Roseberry Topping; Hutton Hall and High Cliff; Skelton; Marske Hall; Wilton Castle; Marske Mill; Guisborough Abbey.
