This catalog was prepared to accompany the exhibition at the Museu de Arte Contemporanea de Universidade Sao Paulo, from November 18 to December 18. 1971. Vicente do Rego Monteiro (1899- 1970), from Recife, was a Brazilian painter, sculptor, and poet, born to a rich family. He was part of the Semana de Arte Moderna exhibition and helped form Brazilian Modernism. Illustrated in color and black & white. Essay by Walter Zanini. Contributions by Willy Lewin, Layla Perrone-Moises, Maurice Raynal, Jean Cassou and Michel Ragon. Chronology. Exhibition history. Bibliography. 11" high X 9" wide, unpaginated.
