When first published in 1766 this was one of the most popular and widely read novels among Victorians. illustrated with 12 color plates and numerous in-text drawing by Arthur Rackham. Binding with light wear along edges, spine sunned but gilt lettering still well legible. Endpaper illustrations browned along edges. Book block age-toned along edges. Binding and interior in overall good- condition.
