Octavo. viii, 419 pp. Limited edition, number 114 of 500 copies, initialed by the editor at the limitation statement. In publisher's cloth with printed paper title label. According to the VMHC's introduction to their Brook Hill Collection, Stewart with his brother "immigrated to the United States and settled in Richmond to join their uncle as tobacco merchants. John and Daniel later formed a partnership and invested in numerous enterprises, including the tobacco trade, railroads, turnpikes, and real estate." An interesting provenance. Haynes 2098.
