Portland, OR: Nazraeli Press, 2006. First Edition. Signed by the internationally acclaimed architectural photographer Julius Shulman. One of an edition limited to 1000 copies. This limited edition was not issued signed by Shulman but this copy has been specially signed by Shulman in ink on the title page. This book was issued to accompany an exhibit of photographs by Julius Shulman at the Craig Krull Gallery in Santa Monica, CA. Bound in full cloth with printed photograph affixed to front cover and a reproduction of a Shulman signature die-stamped on the rear cover. As new without dust jacket as issued. A collection of 70 black & white photographs by Julius Shulman taken with a Vest Pocket Kodak camera when he was in his 20s, many of which have appeared in art galleries. Mr. Shulman’s interest in architectural photography was inspired through a chance meeting with Richard Neutra and he has received many awards and honors over the years, including the American Institute of Architecture Gold Medal for architectural photography in 1969 and an Honorary Membership in 1980.
