About This Item
Nadezhda Nikolaevna Ladygina-Kots (1889-1963) — a Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, one of the world's first female zoopsychologists, co-founder of the Darwin Museum. The wife of Professor Aleksandr Kots (1880-1964) — a Doctor of Biological Sciences, founder and first director of the Darwin Museum. The study is based on the author's comparative observations of the male chimpanzee Ioni and her own son Rudy (mentioned in the autograph) from birth to the age of four. Illustrative material — numerous photographs and pen sketches from nature by the famous animal artist V. V. Vatagin.
In two calico bindings with gold lettering. The attachment with the tables is assembled with a ribbon. Photo table №1 from the Appendix is woven into the book as a frontispiece. Without p. VII-VIII of the preface (absent in the entire circulation). Small contamination of the bindings, small tears of the calico on the spines. In good condition.
A rare, unique edition of its kind.
