Holland: Polydor, 1983. Softcover. Near Fine. Reissue stereo 12" 33 1/3 rpm vinyl compilation album. Two records. Illustration, design, and art direction by Keith Davis and Grahame Berney. Light wear from play, else near fine in a very good illustrated gatefold cardboard sleeve with an owner name on the front cover, rubbing, and light edgewear. Compilation featuring favorites such as "I'm Waiting for the Man," "Sister Ray," and "Sunday Morning.

The presentation comprises the pictorial portion of the rear cover of the 'The Velvet Underground & Nico' album (visible image size 240 × 255 mm), individual signatures of Stirling Morrison (guitar) and Nico, and a colour photograph of John Cale, Mo Tucker and Lou Reed (taken at a later date, looking at artwork from the album cover) signed by all three (237 × 180 mm); the items are mounted on MDF board with an attached mat, now displayed behind glass in a removable metal frame (external dimensions 755 × 380 mm). Reed's signature is a little smudged; Morrison's is a little faded; overall, an exceptional collection in excellent condition. Provenance: the personal collection of David Lovatt, proprietor of Bank Street Records, Adelaide (1985-1994). He obtained the autograph of Nico on her only tour of Australia (February and March 1986), he wrote to Stirling Morrison and obtained his signature direct, and he purchased the signed photograph through 'Goldmine Magazine' in the USA in 1990.

SIGNED by Billy Name in silver ink on the recto, and with his stamp on the verso. Name, who had gotten his start in theatre, met Andy Warhol in the early 1960s, and appeared in Warhol's 1963 films "Haircut No. 1-3." Name was also responsible for covering the Factory in silver foil, and began living there, documenting the day to day and artistic lives of Warhol, his collaborators, and superstars. "The Silver Age," an exhibition of Name's Factory photographs was held at the Milk Gallery in New York from November 12 to December 7, 2014, and at Serena Morton II in London from September 30 to October 23, 2015. A book was published by Reel Art Press in conjunction with the exhibition in 2014. New York: Verve,, 1967. First pressing of this seminal album, signed by the producer Andy Warhol on the iconic cover he designed. The first pressing was made in two plants, East Coast and West Coast, this an example from the East Coast; both record and sleeve numbered V6-5008. The first issued copies had an image of the dancer Eric Emerson projected upside down above the band's photograph on the rear cover; Emerson threatened to sue and the record was quickly recalled and the image of Emerson airbrushed out (as here). All later pressings were produced clean of the stencilling evident in this copy. Any copies with Emerson visible are of the exceptionally rare first issue, though this second issue was still produced in small numbers and is very scarce indeed. 12 inch vinyl record with plain paper slip, in original card folding sleeve designed by Andy Warhol with banana peel sticker. Record finger marked and scratched, sleeve rubbed to edges, spine toned.
