A signed limited edition of this fantastical novel by American author and poet Elinor Wylie, in the original dust wrapper and slip case. The first edition of this limited edition work, number 10 of 250 signed and numbered copies produced.Signed by the author to the colophon.In the publisher's original unclipped dust wrapper, with slip case.The second of the four novels Wylie authored in her lifetime, this is a remarkable fantasy novel by the celebrated poet, who was popular in the 1920s and 30s despite her scandalous personal life.Wylie's other notable works include 'Nets to Catch the Wind', 'Black Armor', and 'Angels and Earthly Creatures'. In the publisher's original half paper vellum binding, with unclipped dust wrapper, and paper covered slip case. Externally, fine. Minor offsetting to front and rear free endpapers. Dust wrapper lightly age toned to back strip, with wraps bright. Small hole and closed tears to back strip head, with two closed tears towards the head of the front wrap. Significant bumping to slip case, with top panel lacking, and bottom panel tenderly held. Slip case in good only condition. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright. Near Fine
