Description:

Ward, Lock & Bowden, 1895. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1895. No edition stated. 324 pages. No dust jacket. Green illustrated cloth with gilt titles to spine. Publisher's adverts to rear. Includes illustrated plates by Stanley L Wood. Pages are rather marked with pronounced tanning and foxing, plus thumbing. Hinges are extremely cracked with exposed netting. Occasional gutter cracking. Faint creases to some pages. Boards have heavy edge wear, with intense bumping and fraying to corners, a bit bowed; spine ends are very crushed and frayed. Joints worn too with splits. Scratched, rubbed and marked overall. A few liquid droplet marks. Spine is noticeably sunned. Book has a heavy forward lean. Gilt is bright.
