About This Item
New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1923. First Edition. Very good+ in dark green cloth covered boards with very faded gilt text on the spine and with blind text embossing of the title and the author's name on the front board. A small octavo of 7 1/2 by 5 1/8 inches with two, 1/16th closed tears to the cloth at the head of the spine and with light rubbing to the cloth at the heel of the spine and to the tips of the boards. There is the bold stamp of "Property of Famous Players - Lasky Library" on both the front paste down and the first free end page as well on the last free end page and the last paste down; otherwise, the contents are clean and tight. Containing 145 pages of text followed by two pages of ads and an unopened leaf. I do not consider this an ex-libary copy but simply a copy owned by a stage company. (Bruccoli, A 10.I.a)
