About This Item
The ancient Vedic religion was formed from the religious ideas and practices among some of the Indo-Aryan Peoples of Northwest India. Rele's book is a summation of his views that the Hindu scriptural texts are books of a biological nature and his research interprets the Vedic Gods from a biological stand point, particularly in relation to the central nervous system.
A scarce book, especially in this excellent condition. See photos all of which are of the actual copy for sale. Boards are tight and very clean, with just some few markings here and there but overall excellent. Bottom corners are slightly bumped. Rear end paper has very neat pencil notes of a previous reader summarising the book (see photo) - removable if desired. Spine is clean and tight. Pages are bright, clean and in most part in remarkable condition. There are an exceptionally few small marks here and there and literally a few pencil underlinings, but generally extraordinarily clean for its age. Plates all intact including colour plate (see photos) No dust jacket, as published. A lovely example of this scarce work. Illustrated.
