About This Item
An excellent copy of Dutch Indologist Jan Gonda's study of the Vedic God Mitra, one of the most revered of the Vedic Gods. A thorough, well researched and referenced book. This first edition is scarce, especially in this excellent state. Pages are clean and bright, with no markings at all, no foxing and no inscriptions. Only exception is a nice small sticker of the original UK bookseller of Oriental books. NOT ex library (many copies of this edition are). Pages are high quality and almost feel and look as new. Binding tight. Light green boards are very nice: a couple of finger/handling marks on front. Minimal corner crumpling. Spine slightly faded. But overall covers are very good indeee. An exceedingly good copy of this rare first edition. See photos all of which are of the copy for sale, we don't use stock photos. More photos always available on request, many thanks
