Short closed tear to two pages, o/w. contents very clean and in fine condition. Original green cloth in nr. fine condition. A very pleasing copy. Freeman 801. This book is �the first of the volumes of supporting evidence [for natural selection]�, (Freeman). The first edition (Freeman 800) was published on May 15th 1862, selling up to 2,000 copies.
